County Media Development Manager
John Rickard been appointed to the position of County Media Development Manager. John has a background in Information Technology, and has already made contact with the Headquarters Media Team, he will formally take on the role from 26th November. I am sure we all wish him well in his new role.

District Commissioner (Mount Edgcumbe District)
Maureen Carvell has kindly agreed to continue in her role as District Commisioner for Mount Edgcumbe District until 31st March 2009. During her term of appointment, Maureen has enabled the District to grow with a new group starting at St.Germans this year. I am sure we all wish her well with her role.

David Cracknell been appointed to the new position of Assistant County Commissioner Geographic (South & West). Chris Dyer been appointed to the new position of Assistant County Commissioner Geographic (North & East). Kate Crawshaw been appointed to the position of Local Development Advisor (North & East). Kate will work with Neil Slade in the delivery of Development issues within the North & East of the County, and will formally take on the role from 20th September. Assistant County Commissioner (Explorer Scouts)
Ian Carvell has kindly agreed to continue in his role as Assistant County Commissioner (Explorer Scouts). Ian and his team of DESC's have worked hard, resulting in the Kernow24 events and the recent Smuggler Camp. I am sure we all wish him well with his role.

Brian Sheen has kindly agreed to continue in his role as County Canoeing Assessor. Brian undertakes a great deal of work both within the County, and at external Jamborres to promote the County, and his current planned expedition to the River Niger is no exception. David Illsley has kindly agreed to continue in his role as District Commisioner for Bodmin & District. During his term of appointment, David and his team have developed the County Stand at the Royal Cornwall Show and have contuined with the successful District Camel Run Night Hike. Sue Rosevear has kindly agreed to continue in his role as County Duke of Edinburgh's Award Co-ordinator. Sue
does an incredibale amount of work to support the Award Scheme, and spends a lot of time working with individuals to review and ensure that they have completed all sections for their Award. I am sure we all wish her well with his role.

Neil Slade been appointed to the position of Assistant County Commissioner (Development). Neil has done a tremendous job during his time as County Scout Network Commisioner, and there is no doubt that his vibrant enthuasiam will be ideal for this new chosen endeavour.
