Autumn County Team Meeting, Conference & Presentation Day (28/08/08 & Updated 02/11/08)

The first Conference Day was undertaken on Saturday 20th September at 'The Keay'. To enable this event to be evaluated, can you please pass on any comments or feedback in relation to the day. Thoughts on the venue, timings and have things can be improved upon will allow us to make future events better in their concept.

The 2009 County Conference days are: Saturday 21st March 2009 & Saturday 19th September 2009

New Structure for County Meetings (07/06/08)

Following consultation at the recent County Team and County Executive Team meetings, it has been decided that the format of the following meetings will change with effect from this September:

County AGM, County Team, ADC's Meetings, County ADC's Workshop

and the Annual County Presentation Day

(Scout presentation day)

This has been decided for a number of reasons, primarily the following:

* Decreasing in number of meetings for leaders to attend

* Recognising that leaders families can benefit from more leisure time

* Reduction of fuel expenses for leaders attending

* Better networking opportunities for those attending

* Working with the CCC & SA policies in reducing our Carbon Footprint

* More likelihood of support and attendance by HQ and Regional staff

The first of the new style of meetings will took place on Saturday 20th September, and from thereafter there will be two 'Conference Days' a year, in the Spring & Autumn. The new venue for these days will be 'The Keay Centre' at St.Austell College. This is a fairly new, vibrant 260 seat theatre, which will allow us to expand and develop our County Conferences in a modern setting.

Sat 21st Mar 2009 - Spring Conference

Sat 19th Sept 2009 - Autumn Conference
